A WORD ON (COVID-19) FROM Revolution

OUR RESPONSE AND HOW YOU CAN HELP

Revolution Responds to TX Governor’s Coronavirus Recommendations – Will Have ONLINE CHURCH ONLY:

March 16, 2020:
Revolution Church will be moving their worship experiences to ONLINE ONLY.

Following the recommendation of the TX Governor to cancel mass gatherings and prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are CANCELLING CHURCH at our physical location. THIS INCLUDES REVGROUPS AND ALL EVENTS.

We will continue to monitor the situation week by week and hope to resume normal weekend services as soon as we are able. We pray we’ll be able to gather in person very soon, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have church! We always have the opportunity to learn and grow as a church family by worshipping together at any of our Live Streaming methods found below.

You don’t have to worship alone, be sure to invite friends and family from around the world to join you online! All you have to do is click share-watch party!

Now more than ever, we’re reminded that the Church isn’t about the building. It’s about the people gathering to worship our God who is Faithful, in control, and with us where we are.

Anyone can join our online family this weekend, and every weekend, as we broadcast live on Facebook Live (Facebook.com/RevChurchTX), YouTube (Youtube.com/C/RevolutionChurchTX), AppleTV (REVOLUTION CHURCH APP), Roku (Revolution Church App) by searching “RevChurchTX”, and at www.RevChurchTX.com/Watch-Now.

Again, for our Small Groups, we will be cancelling all meetings until further notice to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). If your small group would like to continue to meet feel free to meet through phone calls, facebook live, or any other proper social distancing methods.

Join us for Church Online Sunday:
9:08 or 10:38AM
Or En Espanol:
1:08PM

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
- Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Here at Revolution we are all aware of the evolving situation with COVID-19 around the world. We are aware that our response as a church is likely on your mind. We are trusting God, praying for those who are sick and scared, and working to prevent the spread of this disease. As Christians, we believe prayer has power, so we seek help from the Lord.

HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP

  1. Pray for our community and those directly affected by COVID-19. Pray for the health care workers who are treating the sick and those public health administrators making difficult decisions. Pray that God would protect our community from further spread of the virus.
  2. Reflect Christ. In these anxious days, the church (all of us) can shine as a light of hope, care, faith, patience, and prudence. We can demonstrate to the world how our faith provides true assurance against worry and fear.
  3. Practice recommended personal hygiene. Wash your hands frequently. Stay home and enjoy our services online.

ACCORDING TO THE CDC, HERE ARE SOME STEPS WE CAN ALL TAKE:

  • If you are high risk, such as older adults and those with underlying chronic medical conditions, avoid crowds as much as possible.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

While we exercise wisdom in keeping ourselves and our loved ones safe, we know that divine health and protection is from Jesus. Let’s continue to trust in His promises of protection in Psalm 91 for ourselves, our families, and all those who are affected by illness and pray that the virus will be contained and conquered.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.
Psalm 91:9–10
