    Job Description:
    The Worship Director at Revolution is part of the Worship Department within Creative Arts. This person will lead worship at one of the 2 Revolution campuses (McKinney and/or Melissa) as well as weekday ministry that is supported by creative arts. This includes rehearsals, scheduling band, programming songs as well as leading. This person will be vocally powerful and have strong stage presence. 
    The Worship Director will point people towards Jesus through the medium of art and music by helping to execute the vision, planning, and overall quality of the worship experience along with and under the leadership of the Worship and Creative Arts Pastor  They should lead by example, and cultivate a positive spirit throughout the church family.  They should represent Christ and His church well in the community at large.  They should be a team player and follow the biblical model of sacrifice by being willing to put the needs of others in front of their own.  In all of their actions, they should be positive and supportive of the Core Values and the Vision of our church.
    Leading Worship
    Lead worship on the weekends at a Revolution Campus (McKinney and/or Melissa)
    Lead worship in additional ministries during the week as needed
    Staff and Volunteer Development
    Recruit, develop, schedule and lead volunteers. 
    Oversee the worship experience and develop band members for various ministries.
    Service Programming
    Assist in weekly service musical programming. 
    Creatively work with the Worship Pastor to create custom song arrangements, original songs and click tracks.  
    Must have 2 years experience in ministry
    Proficient understanding of scripture
    Be musically proficient (have an understanding of basic music theory) and be able to lead vocally.
    Have the ability to coach and lead a worship team
    Have the ability to create new arrangements of songs (recommended). 
    Have the desire and ability to create original music (recommended). 
    Be proficient in Planning Center and Pro Presenter. 
    Have the ability to read lead sheets. 
    Have the ability to read music (recommended).  
    Important skills/personal traits
    Have the ability to communicate, lead and engage with the congregation from a stage setting.
    Be self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being able to function cooperatively as a member of a team.

    About our church:
    Revolution Church is a rapidly growing Non-Denominational church located in McKinney, TX with a mission to lead people to find and follow Jesus. We are a Church that planted over 6 years ago and have seen over 800 people accept Christ, been baptized and discipled since our beginning.
    In 2017, we moved into our very own church building with over 30,000 square feet, fun and exciting Children’s spaces and warm and inviting spaces for everyone in the church to meet, worship and serve others. We are now planning our next campus to open tentatively Easter 2022. 
    God has exceeded all of our expectations as we have been focused on relentlessly improving the facilities and restructuring the ministry to continually reach people for Christ in McKinney.

    The Children Pastor is responsible for helping children to find and follow Jesus. This person will provide oversight and direction to our weekly Kid’s Ministries (Birth to 5th Grade) by creating awesome environments that children can't wait to be a part of, building teams, training volunteers and executing awesome events for children!

    This person helps the pastor accomplish the overall vision of the church, Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference by creating programs that aid in children having a safe, clean, fun and engaging environment for children to learn more about Jesus.

    • Oversee all programming for children birth through 5th grade.
    • Identify, recruit, develop, and train volunteers to become Coaches and Team Leaders over each department. (Nursery, Preschool, Elementary, Kid Check)
    • Hold frequent meetings with all volunteers to make sure they are executing the policies, procedures, practices and vision of these ministries.
    • Plan and oversee special events related to children and families, including Vacation Bible School, Fall Festivals, DayCamps,Family Fun Days etc.
    • Submit all events to graphics coordinator for advertising.
    • Recruit, develop, and deploy children’s ministry volunteers by attending Growth Track Step 3 and by any other means necessary.
    • Set growth goals for each quarter and discuss in meetings with the pastor.
    • Maintain the integrity of the children’s Bible teaching time by ensuring the instruction is consistent with the doctrinal convictions of the church.
    • Manage all children’s ministry staff that work with children from birth through fifth grade. This would include oversight of all childcare needed within the church.(Finding the workers/Hiring/Developing/Firing contracted workers)
    • Identify and execute mission opportunities for children to participate in.
    • Review all curriculum used by the children’s ministry and ensures they are consistent with the church’s doctrinal commitments.
    • Run background checks on anyone working with children.
    • Ensure children’s spaces are lively, fun, clean, and ready for worship time. This includes making sure we have the necessary technology available. TVS/SOUND/LIGHTING/PAINT/ETC.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • A commitment to the mission and vision of the church.
    • Trust in the leadership of the church.
    • A call to serve in children’s ministry.
    • A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).
    • Encourage children to learn the importance of salvation, baptism, scripture memorization, serving, giving, loving, and meeting the needs of other people.
    • Hold monthly conversations with kids about salvation.
    • Baptize children that aren’ planning to be baptized by their parents. (Offer it to parents first.)
    • Run a midweek RevGroup for children to go deeper with Jesus.
    • Oversee child dedications.

    *Part-Time Position

    The Small Group Childcare Worker is responsible for providing nurturing and developmentally appropriate care within our childcare programs throughout the week. This position works to create a fun, safe, welcoming experience for children while they and their parents are on campus for Small Group Programs. In all actions they reflect the Revolution team leadership distinctives.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Provide nurturing care to children
    2. Guide developmentally appropriate activities for children utilizing provided program plan
    3. May lead children in Bible lesson, classroom activities, and activities out-of-doors
    4. Provide welcoming guest experience for parents
    5. Maintain clean and safe classroom environments, as a team
    6. Maintain accurate accounting of ministries served and hours worked through Revolution's current payroll system

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School experience and/or graduate
    • Ability to interact with children to support their spiritual development
    • Ability to engage kids through fun and fellowship
    • Effective relational and communication skills, both verbal and written, with children and parents
    • Supports the mission, vision, and values of Rev Kids
    • Agrees and aligns with the vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of Revolution
